The Marineland website is a responsive e-commerce website that utilizes a CMS backend while being hosted on load balanced web servers. The site also makes use of HTML5, font icons, AJAX, and other web technologies to deliver a better user experience. Social sharing tools and feeds are present on the site and users can log in with their Facebook accounts to place an order.
I worked as the developer on a new Sitecore site project for the Tetra website that leveraged a Mediachase e-commerce and ExactTarget email integration. The former Tetra website was hosted on a web platform that was being decommisioned and the marketing department wanted to incoporate a re-design of the site structure, design, and behavior. I was tasked with integrating e-commerce for the first time, making the site easily editable by Marketing staff, and providing multi-regional and multi-lingual capabilites.
Waterfall was used for project management and the Marketing department provided pdf designs and site requirements. I worked closely with a web designer to incorporate designs, requirements, and feedback from the marketing department over a period of a couple months.
The Tetra website has been redesigned since I worked at Spectrum Brands 11 years ago but you can view the current site below:
